Your bandwidth limit is 30mb per month. As an average email is approximately 3kb in size that equates to over 10,000 emails. If you send, or are sent, large email attachments this can use up much of your bandwidth limit so it is advisable to keep this to a minimum. The largest email attachment you can send or receive is 5mb.

Problems sending and receiving mail are rarely related. See FAQ Questions 1 and 2 for information on how to track down each end of the problem. If the problem affects one particular service, then it's possible that there is a communications block between that service and AOL. Try contacting that service's Postmaster to see if they are aware of problems both sending mail to and receiving mail from AOL.

Firstly, does your ISP require you to send email through their SMTP servers? This is becoming very common, and is particularly often if you use a "large" national ISP like Earthlink or MSN; this is the primary reason most clients cannot send email. Be sure that "My outgoing mail server requires authorization" and "Use settings as my incoming mail server" are checked under Settings.

You can use the Cruzio Cyberhub Network to send and receive email from your own account using Outlook, Netscape Mail or other email software as well as Web-based email programs. If you want to check your Cruzio email account, you can also use Cruzio Webmail. If you have trouble sending email through your mail program, please contact your email provider for support.

If you can not send email using mail.yourdomainname.com as your SMTP server, it may be because your ISP is blocking port 25 on their network, used for sending outgoing mail via the SMTP protocol. SLmail version 4.2 (and greater) adds the Encode Filter which can send and receive foreign characters such as accent marks and different character sets. The Encode Filter will translate all 8BIT (extended characters) to 7BIT Quoted Printable format which email clients can translate and display the correct 8BIT character.
