The EtherTRAK I/O Concentrator (ET-GT-ST-2) and the EtherTRAK Ethernet I/O Expander (ET-GT-ST-1) are basically the same unit. The only difference is that the concentrator is a newer model and has an additional serial port (RS485). Both units have a RS232 port, an Ethernet port, and the same functionality. The RS485 port of the concentrator gives it more flexibility and convenience.

EtherTRAK Ethernet I/O modules supports the Open Modbus/TCP protocol per Modicon's specifications from www.modicon.com. They also support Modbus over UDP which is faster than TCP but has less error checking. Finally, these gateways support the SIXNET protocol over either TCP or UDP.

No. There is no FTP daemon running in the PBX. Nortel wants you to buy Meridian Administration Terminal or its successor, Optivity Telephony Manager, for this. If you connect the PBX to your Ethernet LAN, be sure to block broadcast messages from reaching the PBX by using a router. A router seems to be the only acceptable way to block those nasty broadcast messages that can take your PBX completely out of service. It sounds as if you are receiving traffic reports through your modem connection.

Very simply, a pigtail (a short jumper cable) is needed to connect the cAntenna to your wireless card and/or access point. Your wireless device needs to have detachable antennas for it to plug into. There are two RJ45 ports at the back of the Bluetooth Access Point, LAN and Uplink (port with a X sign).
