Depending on its size, a conventional AM/FM car stereo may be mounted in one of the storage compartments, or saddlebags, outfitted on some bikes. If your iPod does not have a Click Wheel, you can do this. If your iPod has a Click Wheel and you've installed iPod Updater 2005-6-26 or later, you won't be able to do this unless you create a playlist of podcasts (in addition the special Podcasts playlist created for you by iTunes); then just listen to that playlist in your car.

In order to change the mode on your car stereo, and switch from Radio, to CD or any other mode, you will need to press the key on the right side of the deck. This key is named MOD, and by pressing this key repeatedly you will read the different modes you are switching to on the LCD display. Note: that if you are switching to CD mode there are actually 2 CD modes, one is for regular CDs and the other one is for MP3 CDs.

Not all cars are purchased with a stereo kit, at the very minimum cars will be shipped with at least a radio and a cassette player CD players are sometimes possible to fit but not always, new can be fitted but at extra cost - new stereo units can be very expensive. All effort is made to ensure stereo systems work before sending and unfortunately non working units are not covered by us.

We offer an audio muting service as standard on all our installations, which automatically mutes the stereo when a call is made or received. Most kits are supplied with there own speaker, however, if you require the audio from the kit to be routed through your stereo, please order a 'Premium' installation which includes the audio integration loom, also known as a tele-mute lead in the industry.

Yes! iPod will sound great on your home stereo and your car stereo. The only thing is that you must make use of iPod car accessory in order to connect to the amplifiers and speakers of your car stereo. iPod accessories are to be used while connecting the iPod to the home stereo too. These iPod accessories can be available in all car stereos or home stereo stores. We have a wide selection available for you to chose from.

The PS Engineering intercoms are designed to accept a low-level ( less than 3 V P-P) audio signal, like the ones provided by portable devises. Car stereo headphone amplifiers are not referenced to ground, and our intercoms are, so the moment power is turned on, the output amplifier will try its darndest to find ground, even if it has to let the smoke out of components. We recommend using a "Line Level" output from the car stereo.

The same way that you control your factory CD changer. The CD changer select button now activates iCruze. The buttons that accessed "Discs" in the past now access playlists. The same FF, RW and Random keys that were used for the CD changer, now work for the songs contained on your iPod.

Yes!!! Most certainly the noise levels obtained from most car stereos can reach levels which are damaging to your hearing, especially with the windows up. Some "high end" car stereos can reach levels which exceed 130-160 dB's!!!!! Even short exposures can permanently damage your hearing. The best advice is to turn the volume down. Once your hearing is damaged (or you develop constant tinnitus) it cannot be repaired so the best action is prevention.

It most certainly can. Prolonged exposure to sound pressure levels above 85dB will cause permanent hearing damage. Professional audio competitions specify the use of hearing protection devices for their contests, especially at higher volume levels. You can test the dB level of your car stereo with a Sound Pressure Level Meter (available at electronics stores).

A CD changer should be mounted if possible onto the center line of the car, this is where the CD player will get the least amounts of bumps, and less skipping too. The head unit should use the rail clip from the stock stereo. This of course requires you to take out the center console to unbolt the little nut behind the unit. It also helps to prevent a thief from taking your stereo unit.

To choose a radio station, you will simply need to press the skip>>+ or skip<<- button until the screen displays "manual", after that, you will be able to select one. To store the radio station that has been selected previously, you will need to press and hold any of the preset buttons, by doing this, you will be able to select where, from 1 to 6 to store the radio stationAnd wait until the 2nd beep comes out.

Some non-PC players can't handle CD-R and/or CD-RW media. If the audio disc can be played on the PC that created it, then the software did it's job. Please check with your player manufactrer for compatibility with your specific brand, type and speed rating of the blank media.

There are programs that claim to be able to take MP3 files and decode them and burn them to an audio CD all in one operation... MP3 CD Maker is one such program. I believe Nero can also do this. I tried MP3 CD Maker, and I couldn't get it to even burn a single track successfully, and many other people seem to have had problems with it as well... but I suppose *somebody* somewhere must have got it to work. Nero is one of my favourites. Decode the MP3 files to WAV files.

YES! All you would need is 3 tools. An audio CD is one that you would call a "regular CD." You can play them anywhere, but they can only play at most 80 minutes of music.

Not all players get along with all brands of CD-R/RW media. You will need to find a combination of recorder, media, and player that get along. Sometimes the CD player will have no problem playing the tracks, but will have a great deal of difficulty seeking between tracks or moving fast-forward. Using a different brand of media or a different CD player may produce better results. Some media work better at 1x, 2x, or 4x speeds. You may find that slowing down or speeding up the recorder helps.

Yes. Most factory speakers are very basic speakers, typically a dual cone paper speaker. Car manufacturers are very cost conscious. If they can save money on speakers they will. Most factory original speakers do not have a separate midrange and tweeter like your home stereo speakers. It can be a shame to purchase a new CD radio for your car with more power and features only to be disappointed by how it sounds. This is most likely not because of the radio but instead the speakers lesser quality.

It is not possible to place sophisticated labels within the scene, the labels obtained by shift-clicking on an atom are not guaranteed to be written out. I recommend to use an image manipulation tool such as gimp to place labels in scene after exporting it. Alignment of stereo-labels is not as difficult as it may seem. the crucial point is the exact position of the left and right label on the horizontal axis (ie identical y coordinate).
