If your hammock is 13 feet long you will want a space approximately 15 feet apart with a foot of chain or rope at each end to adjust the hammock up or down from the ground. In a “ground set” there is minimal excavating done to allow for the construction of the prepared pad onto which the home is placed and blocked. In most cases this is a concrete slab. Our U-Channel mounting posts are designed to be driven into the ground with the aid of a Post Pounder or sledge hammer. An optional Post Pounding Cap is also available to protect the top of the post from the impact damage of the sledge hammer. Look for an existing bolt or screw that makes contact with the car body near the amp. Remove the bolt or screw, and scrape away any paint or grime. We recommend going to your local hardware store/Home Depot and buying two screw-in hooks. The hooks are approximately 3-4 inches long and about a ¼ inch thick. It is best to place them in a deck post (4x4), tree trunk, or something else that feels sturdy. Sinking them into drywall is not safe unless you are completely sure that the hook is going directly into the 2x4 stud inside the wall.

If properly hung in a sturdy location, the full-sized hammocks can hold two normal-sized adults but are most comfortable when used one person at a time. The hammock chair is made to hold one person.
