We require a score from one of the two national standardized tests for registration purposes. Students can take either the ACT or the SAT to satisfy this requirement. Presently, the writing component for each exam is not required.

As a private liberal arts college, we individually review every application. This includes looking specifically at all components of the application file which will of course include essay questions, test scores, transcripts and recommendations. When looking specifically at test scores, we do not have any particular "cut offs" for admission and acceptance. Instead we do have average scores of a 24 for the ACT and and 1000 for the SAT.

No. SAT and ACT scores are not required to determine your eligibility to be admitted to a California community college, nor may they be used in lieu of community college assessment tests.

Our Student Records Department has PSAT, SAT and ACT test scores on the transcripts for some students, but only if the student provided us with his/her correct social security number and put the correct social security number on the test at the time the test was taken. Test scores are posted from a data file purchased from the testing company, so we can't be certain that all information is provided. We are under no requirement to maintain these scores, but do so as a convenience to the students.

Graduates of accredited high schools with an ACT score of 19 or above on the English and Reading (previously called Social Science) areas and 19 or above on the Mathematics area (SAT verbal of 440 or above; Mathematics score of 470 or above) may be admitted in good standing.

A copy of your score report will be sent to you and the schools you list on your registration form. That might include your high school, if you list its code number, and several colleges or universities. Part of the fee for students taking the test is the cost of sending your score report to colleges, universities, and/or scholarship programs that you designate. In other words, the colleges you list on your registration form will automatically be sent your scores.

If you qualify for special exam arrangements, i.e. un-timed test, readers, or a private testing room, be sure that you use this accommodation. The school cannot use the specialized testing against you when you apply to the university.

SAT or ACT scores are required for all applicants who graduated from high school after 1998. This requirement is waived for transfer students who have completed a minimum of 24 credits with a GPA of at least 2.0.

The chapters will take into account a participant's SAT/ACT scores along with her high school/college grades. If a Potential New Member's scores/grades are low, the chapters will have concern for the possibility of the Potential New Member experiencing difficulty in managing the time commitment required for New Member Education and a busy school schedule.

While no minimum grade point average, class rank or standardized test score is specified for incoming first-year students, these measures must provide evidence of your readiness for college studies in your chosen academic program. For students transferring from another college or university, the minimum grade point average to be considered for admission to most majors is 2.0 on a 4.0 scale. The SAT or ACT is required for freshman applicants. You can take the tests as many times as you want because we will consider only your best scores. We recommend a 1000-plus combined score on the SAT or a 22-plus on the ACT. Our mean SAT score for incoming freshman is 1070. The mean ACT score is 22. Although the SATs and ACTs are important indicators of your academic ability they are not the only indicators.

Naropa University operates a test optional admissions program. If you would like to submit ACA and/or SAT scores, we would be happy to include them in our review process. Our ACT code is 4853 and our SAT code is 0908. Of our first-time freshmen who entered in the fall of 2006, 24% submitted their ACT scores with an average score of 24. 29% of them submitted their SAT scores with an average score of 1634.

If you are still in high school, we suggest that you take the ACT. You may decide to attend college elsewhere later where the test may be required for admission, and your basic skills assessment (ASSET) may be waived at Hawkeye with adequate ACT scores.

We do not currently have a minimum requirement for GPA or test scores. However, the incoming class in 2007 had an average GPA of 3.31-3.88, an average SAT score of 1000-1200 (critical reading, math), and an average ACT score of 22-27.

Standardized exam scores must come directly from ACT or College Board to be considered “official.” The Honors College admission decision is made separately from and after the university's admission decision.

If you need to have your scores sent to us after you took the exam, call the Educational Testing Service Center at 609-771-7600 and request that your scores be sent to Binghamton University (CEEB code: 2535, ACT code: 2956). DO NOT send your scores RUSH.

You may have read that the average SAT is 1170 or 26 ACT. If you are above those averages and have strong grades, you are doing well. Students with scores below the average should remember that it’s an average and not a minimum. Remember, we take your test scores in context with your entire application. We accept either test. We recommend that you take two tests (two SATs, two ACTs, or one of each). We’ll take your top score. Whatever you do, try to relax while taking the test.

The SAT, including writing, or the ACT plus writing is required for sophomore transfer applicants. Scores should be sent to Carolina directly from the College Board or the high school counselor. Our SAT reporting code is 5816 and our ACT code is 3162. SAT or ACT test scores (with or without the writing section) are optional for junior transfers.
