Sony's Infolithium battery system is perhaps the best example of this technology. The negative side of lithium ion battery systems is that these proprietary systems tend to be very expensive.

The features that make a good camera for product photography are not necessarily the features that are important for other types of photography like portraits or everyday family photos.
