We do our best to assess the health of the birth parents and the child. As you know, there are many conditions that cannot be detected before birth or even after. We encourage our birth mothers to receive good prenatal care and refrain from any substances that would be detrimental to the unborn child. If there is any concern as to the health of the child or any substance abuse we will give you all the facts and details that are available.

You will receive all available medical reports on your child and will be given opportunities to ask questions to find more information with the help of your pediatrician or experts in the medical field.

No child will be assigned to a team until team balancing is completed. The team balancing usually takes place sometime in the last week of May. A Players & Parents meeting is held in June so coaches can meet their team and assign tasks with instructions to parents. Also call parents that where not at the meeting as soon as possible. Some teams may still need to have coaches assigned to them. If you have received no call from a coach and other people you know have, wait a little longer.

Some initial symptoms include decreased appetite, less energy for play, lying down, crankiness, complaints of pain or discomfort, or pale complexion. Children with upset stomachs also may want to stay home from school or come home during the school day.
