Why does my dog cough after his medication?
Balgownie Veterinary Hospital: FAQ June 2004I have a Yorkshire terrier. He is on Vetmedin 1.25 capsules twice a day. Also Furosamide twice a day an hour after the Vetmedin. He walks very well despite his heart defects. However he has a very bad wrenching type cough which goes on for a long time and is very frequent. He does not bring up any fluid during these coughing attack. Does this indicate that the drugs are not working or the dosages are incorrect? He weighs 3.5 kg. Thanks for any answer.
