In addition to offering a strong, traditional legal education, UC Irvine's School of Law will leverage the campus's existing strengths to develop specializations in emerging technology, international business, health care management, public administration and social policy. Compared to the best private law schools, a UC legal education is affordable to a wider range of the population and also is noted for its excellence - all four existing UC law schools are ranked among the top 50 nationally.

The School of Law will be funded through professional student fees, campus enrollment growth and private gifts.

A national search for a founding dean of the law school is currently underway, and is expected to be completed in 2007. Faculty, staff and student recruitment will begin after the dean is hired.

UC Irvine law graduates will be especially encouraged to pursue careers in public service. As part of their training at UC Irvine, students will provide legal counsel to community members who would otherwise be unable to afford.

In the early years, the law school will be housed in existing buildings on campus, including Berkeley Place. The proposal calls for the establishment of a new building and law library for the school within six years, and several campus sites are currently under consideration for this.

The first class of approximately 65 law students will enroll in 2009 and grow to approximately 200 students per entering class, for a total of 600 students within five years of opening its doors.

The Philadelphia School is the only independent, nonsectarian, progressive school in the Philadelphia area with both city and country sites. It uses both the urban and natural environments for experience, recognizing that learning must be built on a solid foundation of real and simulated experience. In contrast to most independent schools, TPS is small and values its small size. The student-teacher ratio is 12:1.

While most schools focus on only teaching the techniques of Martial Arts, "Black Belt USA " concentrates on the attitude skills of the Martial Arts as well. Classroom design. You won’t see rows of desks, even in the upper elementary classrooms. Instead, there are study centers for different subject areas, clusters of student-sized tables, and open areas for work on the floor. Students will move freely around the room, choosing their own resources to pursue their work. They will work independently or in small groups for long uninterrupted periods of time Montessori materials.

California has two public university systems. The UC system emphasizes a theory-based approach to learning, and offers doctorate programs in most disciplines, along with graduate opportunities in medicine, dentistry, business, law, pharmacy, and veterinary medicine. The CSU offers traditional and career specific majors, with graduate opportunities at the Master's level.

Although paralegal courses do not earn law school credit, taking paralegal classes before applying to law school is a great idea because: You can "test the waters" to see whether you really want to study law at a much less expensive course rate while learning a marketable skill. The Georgia Academy for the Blind, located in Macon, grew out of a private charity project undertaken by Professor Walter S. Fortescue of the Pennsylvania School for the Blind, and a group of civic-minded Macon Citizens in 1852. GAB is the only residential school serving the visually- impaired children of Georgia. The Atlanta Area School for the Deaf, established in 1972, is a day-program for deaf and hearing-impaired children who live in the Atlanta region.

We accept students from a wide variety of undergraduate schools, with almost 250 distinct institutions represented in the student body. While the strength of an undergraduate institution is certainly a factor we consider in the admissions process, our commitment to maintaining the excellence of our student body does not limit the wide range of educational institutions from which our students hale. There most assuredly is no accredited school whose graduates we would be simply unwilling to admit.

Medicaid is a joint federal-state program. It provides medical assistance to eligible needy persons. Unlike Medicare it is an entitlement program based on income and asset guidelines. The federal contribution is approximately 50%. The states pay the remaining costs and they are given wide discretion about whom to cover and what benefits to provide. There is a single state agency in charge of the program in each state, but many states have the program administered by county and city governments.

You will teach in one of our schools for at least one school term. This way you will meet the same students every week, work as a member of the team with the Chinese English teachers, make friends and establish yourself in the community.

SRV is located on an 8.5-acre wooded campus surrounded by a nature preserve. To us, the outdoors is an extended classroom. Science class often takes place on the trail, we have our own student-created organic garden, students go sledding when it snows, and we even have sheep! We are a small, close-knit community of learners. Children are well known here by many adults who are a part of their daily lives.
