First, using tables in the United States Code Service (U.S.C.S.) or the United States Code Annotated (U.S.C.A.) find the U.S. Code cite to the section of the public law. Then look up that section in the U.S.C.S. or the U.S.C.A. and see if the note field following the text of the section gives a corresponding reference to the Code of Federal Regulations (C.F.R.).

i. Access Board Standards. The first regulation implementing section 508 was issued by the Architectural and Transportation Barriers Compliance Board (the "Access Board"), an independent Federal agency, whose primary mission is to promote accessibility for individuals with disabilities. This regulation is referred to as the Access Board’s "standards." The standards, along with an explanatory preamble, were published in the Federal Register, as a final rule, on December 21, 2000 (65 Fed.

Subcontract means any agreement or arrangement between a contractor and any person (in which the parties do not stand in the relationship of an employer and an employee): (a) for the purchase, sale, or use of personal property or nonpersonal services which, in whole or in part, is necessary to the performance of any one or more contracts; or (b) under which any portion of the contractor's obligation under any one or more contracts is performed, undertaken, or assumed.

Government contract means any agreement or modification thereof between any contracting agency and any person for the purchase, sale, or use of personal property or nonpersonal services. The term "personal property" includes supplies, and contracts for the use of real property (such as lease arrangements), unless the contract for the use of real property itself constitutes real property (such as easements).

Regulations that are made by Order in Council are usually submitted in draft form to Cabinet (or a Cabinet Committee) for approval, and then signed by the Governor-General at a meeting of the Executive Council (a special meeting of Cabinet Ministers). See Chapter 5 of the Cabinet Office Manual. Regulations that are not made by Order in Council are made in various ways. For example, a Ministerial notice is simply signed by the Minister who has power to issue the notice.

P.L. 94-142 is the legal code that encompasses the Education for All Handicapped Children Act of 1975, the predecessor to the IDEA and IDEIA. The term is generally used interchangeably with IDEA, as it also refers to all amendments affecting the 1975 Act.

VHI plans to switch from collecting the UPIN (Uniform Physician Identification Number) to the NPI (National Provider Identifier) for attending and operating physicians. CMS is currently requiring providers to use the NPI as of May 23, 2007. If this date remains unchanged for submission of NPI only, VHI plans to: accept either the UPIN or NPI for inpatient records or outpatient surgery for discharges (or VHI-collected outpatient surgeries) between January 1, 2007, and June 30, 2007.

The Smoke-Free Arizona Act will restrict smoking in public places and workplaces including but not limited to: bars, restaurants, workplaces, stadiums, reception areas, theatres, and designated non-smoking hotel rooms.

The Code of Practice [click here] does include rules relating to photographs. Clause 1 (Accuracy) of the Code prohibits the publication of "inaccurate, misleading or distorted material", which include pictures. Indeed, the Commission has ruled specifically on the digital distortion of images, in an adjudication against a local newspaper [Click here], in which it took the opportunity to remind editors that they must make clear to readers when they have altered photographs in any material way.

For many years, the amount of printing on campus has been significantly increasing. This is attributed in a large part to the success of the Blackboard system on campus. Labs on campus can no longer absorb these increases without sacrificing core services or postponing the replacement of lab computers. This would dramatically affect the computing environment and could contribute to a negative computing experience for students.

The Civil Service Examination is an interview with two senior attorneys within the Office. The interview lasts approximately 30 minutes and usually involves the use of two hypothetical situations that a Deputy Public Defender might encounter in his/her work. A public law is a federal law passed by Congress and signed by the President. A D.C. law is a District law passed by the Council, and upon approval of the Mayor, and completion of the Congressional review period, becomes effective.

A6. The amended regulations are effective upon publication in the Canada Gazette Part II. The new regulations are not retroactive. They apply to tanning devices and their replacement parts, sold, resold, leased in or imported into Canada after the date of promulgation.

All U.S. businesses with at least one employee are governed by state and federal labor laws. Compliance with these regulations includes displaying at least one copy of the most current labor law poster in each workplace location. Labor law changes constantly, and it is the employer's responsibility to make sure posters are current and accurate.

The Regulations set a national "floor" of privacy standards protecting all Americans, but in some states individuals enjoy additional protection. State laws that provide more stringent protections than HIPAA (e.g., those covering mental health, HIV infection, and AIDS information) will continue to apply. The Regulations recognize and do not alter the current diversity of state law in this area.

The 1884 General Court of Massachusetts called for a report on public records. In 1892 the position of Commissioner of Public Records was created, creating the basis of Massachusetts General Law c. 66, the Public Records Law. Gives the Supervisor of Public Records the responsibility to "take necessary measures to put the records of the Commonwealth, counties, cities and towns in the custody and condition required by law and to secure their preservation.

A study of pesticide reduction initiatives in North America and Europe concluded that public education was important but not sufficient, and that legislation was necessary to achieve non-toxic, sustainable landscaping practices.
