Probably. Any wireless receiver supporting the industry standard 802.11b or 802.11g protocols should work. However, in rare cases, we have found wireless receivers which had compatibility issues with the computer upon which it was installed.

The primary intent of the BGSU network is for academic use. To help protect the network from becoming clogged with non-academic traffic, BGSU uses what is called a packet shaper. A packet shaper detects the type of traffic a user is attempting to use and gives that packet precedence in accordance with how important the traffic is to academics. For this reason, gaming traffic is given significantly less precedence than someone doing research.

A:Clayton State provides a wireless network for students, and employees. The configuration for this network can be setup by the HUB. If you are considering purchasing a wireless card for your notebook, the HUB can install this card as well as configure it.

The speed of the wireless network is 54mps; however access speed of the network depends on the technology use on the wireless network card. If the wireless network card only supports 11mbps, this will be the access speed of the network.

Connectivity to the Sac State wireless network is only available if you are within a campus Wireless Zone. A Wireless Zone is defined as an area covered by one or more Wireless Access Points. We have attempted to cover the entire inside of the building and the courtyard. Some areas outside of the building may provide a weaker signal, depending on sources of radio interference (or lack thereof). Wireless technology is available on the Storrs campus. The Wilbur Cross Building, Student Union, Gampel Pavilion, UConn Co-op, and Babbidge Library currently offer the most locations with wireless access available in coffee shops, reading rooms, lounges and lobby areas. A handful of academic buildings are also wireless, as are several of the student dining halls.
