It was clear to me from the beginning that occasionally someone might acquire a daemon of the same sex. What might that mean? There is a mistaken belief that other people can tell if you have sex simply by looking at you. This is NOT true. Lesbians and gay men do not want to be the opposite sex. Within the gay community, there are many people who have challenged and discarded stereotypical gender roles but that does not mean they are trying to be the other sex. The original theory (way back when) was that a same-sex dæmon indicated a bi or homosexual person.
