Behavioral modeling is next generation mechanical design automation technology for design engineers. Behavioral Modeling promotes product design excellence through the synthesis of requirements, desired functional behavior, design context, and geometry in an open extensible environment.

Behavioral Modeling is very user friendly. In fact, Behavioral Modeling tools were specifically developed for use by mainstream design engineers. The pre-requisite for Behavioral Modeling is a license of Pro/ENGINEER, or Pro/ENGINEER-Foundation, both at release 2000i. Although it is highly recommended, the user does not have to change from a Pro/ENGINEER license to the Pro/ENGINEER-Foundation pricing and packaging system to purchase the Behavioral Modeling. The Behavioral Modeling can be used with other older packages, such as the Advanced Designer Package, the Part/Product/Process Modeler, etc.

Because it is implemented at the heart of the system, Behavioral Modeling can be used with any Pro/ENGINEER parts or assemblies, new or created on previous revisions of Pro/ENGINEER. Behavioral feature information is easily passed from the parts to the assembly level so optimization of a complete assembly design can be achieved.

Behavioral Modeling has been configured as an extension package locked to a Pro/ENGINEER license. That is, if the Pro/ENGINEER license floats, the Behavioral Modeling license floats with it. It is license-managed through the Flex License Manager tool, consistent with the license-management process of other PTC products.

Savings in design time will depend on particular customer applications. In some cases, Behavioral Modeling is used to automate design functions. For example, suppose you had a duct and you wanted to measure its cross section all along its length.

Behavioral Modeling can be used for any design problem that could benefit from optimization against fit, form, or functional criteria. Behavioral Modeling can also be used in design problems that would benefit from automation of measured values. Because of this multi-faceted utility, the class of problems applicable for Behavioral Modeling is very broad. In fact, PTC believes that every design engineer could benefit from using Behavioral Modeling.

Anachronox models are made in Lightwave, and you'd have to have that program to create your own. Our Editing section contains a utility (lw2md2) to import your lightwave models into Anachronox's .md2 format.

The Pro/ENGINEER 2000i Behavioral Modeling Extension provides a comprehensive package of Behavioral Modeling functionality that enables all mainstream design engineers to more easily explore design ideas, automatically optimize geometry for complex design problems, and interface seamlessly with external applications.

Behavioral Modeling is much more than automatically populating family tables with results of an analysis. Behaviors and specifications are captured in features at the heart of the system, making it possible to capture parameters and measures in permanent entities that become part of the model and can be used to drive design. As a result, complex designs can be optimized automatically. Behavioral Modeling is only available from PTC.

Agile Modeling (AM) is a practice-based methodology for effective modeling and documentation of software-based systems. Simply put, Agile Modeling (AM) is a collection of values, principles, and practices for modeling software that can be applied on a software development project in an effective and light-weight manner. The secret to AM isn't the modeling techniques themselves -- such as use case models, class models, data models, or user interface models -- but how they're applied.

Just enough to give you a basic understanding of the high-level requirements and of a potential architectural solution. Don't create a detailed CASE tool model when a Visio diagram will do. Don't create a Visio diagram when a whiteboard sketch will do. Don't write a detailed use case when an index card with bullet points will do. Everything works in your documents and models, but not always when you go to build it.

Just enough to get the job done, and the best way to do that is to model with a purpose and to model with the audience for your work. When you know why you're creating a model, and what your audience (e.g. programmers, stakeholders, ...) then you can model just enough. If you don't know what they want, then you're forced to guess what they need and will often do far more than what is required.

When the model fulfills its immediate purpose (therefore it doesn't make much sense to continue working on it) OR you're stuck (therefore you should stop being stuck and go work on something else for awhile). This idea is captured in the practice Iterate To Another Artifact.

Create a routine. Try to follow the same schedule every day, from wake-up time to bedtime. Post the chedule in a prominent place, so your child can see where he or she is expected to be throughout the day and when it's time for homework, play, and chores. Help your child organize. Two types of behavioral techniques are commonly used. Bladder training and pelvic muscle exercises. Normally bladder training is used for urge incontinence. This may also be used for stress incontinence. In this technique women can benefit from bladder training by learning different ways to control the urge to urinate. Pelvic muscle exercises called Kegel exercises are used for stress incontinence.

The teacher or principal should contact the ABA coach. Depending on the severity of the behavior, the ABA coach will either gather data and develop an informal behavior plan or will complete a formal, functional behavior assessment (FBA) and write a behavior intervention plan (BIP). It involves initially identifying practices (behaviors) critical to reducing the risk of injury. These practices and behaviors are then compiled into a checklist that employees use to collect data on safe and unsafe practices within the organization.
