And...hey, did you know that we're coming up my 500th post here on the blog?

David Lebovitz: 10 Insanely Delicious Things You Shouldn't M...
I was thinking of having some kind of contest with really cool prizes, like an all-expense paid trip to Tahiti...but then I thought some of you might balk at shelling out money on a nice trip for me. And to be honest, the thought of relaxing somewhere on the beach being surrounded by oily, lithe, tanned bodies with the scent of vanilla lingering in the air while listening to the sound of the surf isn't exactly paradise compared to all the treats I have access to below.

a): Hey! My post was deleted! Did YOU do that? CAN you do that?

Steve Burns Club @ Yahoo.com ~ ~ ~ Frequently Asked Question...
Did WE do that? Not necessarily. Sometimes Yahoo gets clogged up and posts disappear randomly. But yes, we can, and yes, we do delete posts. Lest you think that posts get deleted left and right, just ask some of the long-time members: it rarely happens. Very, very rarely. We run the club with a very even hand. However, while this is a publicly visible club, Yahoo grants founders the right to monitor posts and delete any that are causing problems on the board.

Why did you say we can't post to the guestbook as one of the actresses?

Halliwell Sisters FAQ
It's just not right on a moral level. When you pretend to be someone, you're putting your words to someone else's name. Think of it as someone in school saying you said something when you really didn't. It makes you mad, right? Same principle here. Another reason I'll take them down is because rumors can be started that way and I don't want the site thought of as a gossip mill. What about posting negative comments? You said yourself you don't think the actresses have ever come here.

My job post is missing, where did it go?

FAQ - Careerspice.com
There are occasions where certain job posts break the rules we have in place for Careerspice.com. When such a case occurs, we cancel the job post and if the offense is great enough, we cancel the whole account. Please read the Careerspice Terms of Use carefully before submitting a job posting to be published.

Why did my post get removed?

Horsetalk forums :: FAQ
There are several reasons this might have happened. Reasons include: 1) your post was seen as abusive to another forum user. 2) your post was seen as spam, an advertisement, or SSP (shameless self promotion). 3) your post included a URL. We don't allow these for reasons including 2 (above) and that very long URLs can upset the viewing of a particular post by making it too wide. No problem.

Why did my post count go down?

GateWorld Forum - FAQ: Posting and Navigation
A thread that you posted in may have been moved to the Off Topic folder, or deleted entirely. Posts in the Off Topic and Testing Ground folders are not counted toward your overall post count. This encourages people to do most of their posting in Stargate-related folders ... since this is a Stargate forum, after all. Off-topic posts are often chit-chat, and we'd rather not have members inflate their post count with hundreds of such posts.

Why did you remove my post?

Word Pirates FAQ
Probably because you didn't write a comment; just posting a word doesn't tell us enough. Or possibly you thought you were being clever by posting your name or a comment about your butt. You know, that sort of thing.

Where did my topic/post go?

NJH FAQ - Please Read
Well... this depends. Most likely it was "moved" to the appropriate category. Otherwise it might have been "deleted" because it did NOT conform to the Usage Agreement... or maybe it was a duplicate. Also, this is a Hunting (and fishing) website. So if you post something about your hatred for George W. Bush it belongs in the "Hunter Lounge" category. The "Hunter Lounge" category does NOT appear in the recent posts list.

Where the fook is the post I just did?

QueerClick's Sticky
So you've submitted your post, but it's not on the front page yet...no need to stress! There are a couple of reasons your post might not be visible to the world yet. The most likely explanation is that: The editors haven't gotten to it yet! While we are distributed across time zones, we are also extremely busy and a delay of a few hours is not unusual. Your pick might have already appeared previously.

Why did you delete my post?

Indyfan Forum FAQ
I take the free exchange of thoughts in the Forum very seriously and only delete something if it is completely offensive or without merit. If you feel that you've been slighted, tell me (indy@indyfan.com). I'm not able to read every post, so offensive posts will probably slip by, however, we've got to remember when dealing with people like this that the best course of action is to ignore their posts.

Where did my post from last week go?

Indyfan Forum FAQ
See the sequence of numbers at the top of the Forum? Those correspond to past listings of the Indyfan Forum. The larger numbers are more recent. After the main Forum page gets too big, I run a script which moves all threads which haven't been posted to for over a week (sometimes less when the page is really big) to the next numbered page.

What did you do before you took up your post on the UFO project and how did you get the job?

FAQ
I joined the Ministry of Defence in 1985. At the time, the policy was to move people every 2 or 3 years - either on level transfer or promotion - so that everybody gained experience in a wide range of different jobs: policy, operations, personnel, finance, etc. I'd done 2 or 3 different jobs and prior to taking up my post on the UFO project I was working in a division called Secretariat(Air Staff) and had been seconded into the Air Force Operations Room in the Joint Operations Centre.

Can we post anything here?

Frequently Asked Questions | Rock Climbing at YourClimbing.c...
The answer, of course, is no. We want this community to be fun, interesting and worthwhile for all our users. So, yes, we do put some limits on what you can post to the site -- but they're reasonable. You still have freedom to post whatever you want about your climbing life. Here are some important rules: Stick to the topic of climbing. That's why we're all here. Post an article about why you hate the politics of George W. Bush (or love them) and we'll remove it.

What do I call my post?

rame.net: faq: part 2: netiquette for newbies
Every message needs a subject. Nothing is more frustrating than seeing messages in your newsreader as having "No subject" as a subject. So, title your messages, and make them mean something! ALWAYS include a subject line in your message. Almost all newsreaders present you with the subject line when you browse the group, and it's often the only clue the recipient has about the contents when filing and searching for messages. Make the subject line meaningful.

steroid injections sideeffects? >> Medical Questions, Weight...
Hi. I was diagnosed with lumbar spinal stenosis. Eventually, I will have to go on a surgery, but now I still take epidural steroid injections for pain. I feel no pain now, but there are some risks and side effects that epidural steroid injections may cause. Risks of such steroid injections include infection, bleeding, nerve damage and wet tap. Side effects from steroids are more common if you take injections daily, for several months.
