The Christian rock thing is difficult. Some of it is loud secular music with "Jesus" mumbled in the middle of it, and to me that is just another sign of how much the world has crept into the Church. But the rest of it is difficult for me to make any judgment on, because music is so subjective.

A. Christian music is music created by or adapted for the Christian church. It also includes Contemporary Christian music, in which the music explores Christian themes but is designed to be played in places other than churches. Music during service for many churches is a big part of the worship. Hymns are sung, psalms are vocalized and spiritual songs are uplifted to praise God. Sometimes, musical instruments are played while singing is implemented in the service.

This is definitely a "Frequently asked question." Many vocal systems have been built claiming that you can train your voice to scream in a healthy way. These systems are either teaching a technique that 1) simulates a scream, 2) mitigates the damage caused by screaming, or 3) are simply teaching harmful techniques in order to cash in on a singer's desire to become a rock star. Obviously the first two options are the ones that I would agree with.

A. A huge segment of the music world, online and offline, we include Pop music and Rock music together. Pop music is a genre of popular music distinguished from classical or art music and from folk music. I would change the fact that people try to make such a distinction between secular and Christian. Lenny Kravitz and U2 pray to the same God as Michael W. Smith and D.C. Talk. Yet somehow in the Christian world it seems like those artists are devalued because of how they’re marketed. Because I am in a Christian market does that make me more of a Christian than someone in a secular market? Alternative is a hard thing to nail down. One man's alternative, is another man's mainstream. And one man's alternative is another man's amusical trash. I know that I have been guilty of the charge of not liking anything that was popular. However, for purposes of categorization, anathema to the true outsider anyway, if it isn't available to the buying public through normal retail channels, it may be too alternative for its own good.

A Christian is anyone who believes in Jesus Christ and what He did for her/him/us. That's it. No one can tell another person "you are not a Christian" because only that person and God really know. You don't have to belong to or ascribe to any particular denomination or sect to be Christian, either. If someone does tell you that you are not a Christian - if you believe in Jesus Christ - they are trying to sell you something or take something away from you. Ignore them.

I have sinned since I became a Christian -- but it is against my will. I may take the large piece of chocolate cake, or let a lustful thought enter my mind.
