I do not keep a list. I keep marathons because there are probably less than 2000 of them and people are willing to travel distances for them. This is not as true as for half marathons. As I get more automated I might keep a list.

Many factors go into choosing the marathons I run. With-A-View is a list of NH mountains under 4000 feet that have both a good view and a trail, as compiled by the "Over the Hill Hikers" of Sandwich, NH. There are 48 NH mountains on the AMC 4000-footer list. The 52 With-A-View list adds just enough more mountains to make a nice round "100." In order for HER v3 to do backups directly to your CD, the CD must be formatted "as a drive letter". This formatting is called "Drive Letter Access" or "DLA". It depends on your background. Experienced runners with a good base of training can sometimes get away with it. I ran 6 marathons in 6 weeks to celebrate my 60th birthday and 7 in 7 months a decade later, but they did hurt. If you just finished Marathon Number 1, you don't want to do Marathon Number 2 the following weekend, if only because you need time to savor your victory.

Due to the volume of marathons, I am only looking to complete them and time is not a concern. If I complete all 26 marathons in last place then I will be happy, as long as I have completed them.
