Airs is a tool for video coding. You listen (or watch) an audio (or video) file, and after each event occurring in the movie—be it a sentence spoken by a person in the movie or some action taken—you pause the movie in order to assign to the event some attributes. In other words, you divide the movie into (usually very small) parts, called utterances, and fill out a questionary for each of them.

Approach the station with creative ways to work together. If you have an established advertising relationship with a local HD Radio station contact your account executive at the station. He or she will be happy to work with an advertiser on innovative ways to cross promote. If you do not have an existing relationship with the station, contact its Program Director directly. That will probably get the conversation started on the promotional track rather than a sales track.

The idea of developing Airs came up during a research project in Cameroon carried out by the Swiss Commission for Research Partnerships with Developing Countries (KFPE), with local support by the Institute for social and preventive medicine of the University of Geneva. The latter two organizations paid for parts of the development cost. The user interface and programming were done by Kaspar Fischer, with much feedback from the first three users, Klaus Labhardt, Edwige Belinga, and Beat Stoll.

The series will air on the RTE network in Ireland in the near future. Jakers! will also air on such networks as ABC Australia, TVO Canada, TF1 France, and SVT Sweden, among many more to be announced.

HD digital Radio is local radio. You can hear it in the city where the broadcasts originate. Some radio stations and HD2 channels are also streamed on the web and you can listen to those on your computer from anywhere in the country. Go to your station’s Web site to learn about these capabilities. Listening on the Web is a great way to “test drive” the new HD2 channels, and then buy that new radio to hear them all the time!

We would first advise you to bring a fishing rod. We prefer pack able rods in a hard case. If you have a 3 or 4 piece rod you can carry it on your own saddle, otherwise we can pack two piece rods on our fishing gear mule. We advise lightweight waders, and wading boots or shoes. A fishing vest or small fishing pack with your basics of fly boxes or lures, spare leaders and tippets, etc is vital. A net is useful but not required.

Not necessarily. We do however urge our clients to practice their casting skills for both salt and fresh water before embarking on any fly fishing trip. It is extremely frustrating for the client when salt water fly fishing and the fish are just out of range or your presentation on fresh water streams spook the fish. This is why casting practice is important. The old saying comes into effect here: “The more you practice the luckier you get.”

Contact your local WIC office before you move. They can give you the phone number of a WIC office near your new home. Ask your local WIC staff to make sure your WIC ID has all your transfer information. When you go to the WIC clinic in your new area, bring your WIC ID folder(s) with you. The new office can transfer you to their program with this information.

Everything! Gasoline, hotels, groceries, camping supplies, beer store, a Laundromat. There's a K-Mart and a gas station across the road from the entrance to Spring Valley Campground. The town even has a small airport. We're negotiating to have firewood, hay bales, and hopefully ice delivered directly to camps (probably for a small fee). Currently, these items can be bought at the Camp Store.

With the exception of our 13-pin cables, ALL of the SignaLink radio cables are UNIVERSAL and will work with ANY radio, so long as you select one with the right type of connector (see Question #5). We have made this possible by wiring our cables "straight-through" (pin #1 to pin #1, pin #2 to pin #2, etc.), and using push-in jumper wires to connect the mic lines of the radio to the same lines in the SignaLink (PTT to PTT, Ground to Ground, etc.).

Yes, either on the tunnel or hidden in the (street dash) glovebox. There is space for 4 speakers - two at the footbox sides and two behind the seats. Most people prefer to listen to the engine's music, however. Why do you offer two different dashboards? The original 427 (as opposed to the street 427) had the speedometer mounted in the center of the dash, and it didn't have a glove box.

I would not be able to give exact values as there are many differences even between identical setups. Besides it is best to do the setups individually to give the most optimal settings. I can however give some pitch setting to go with for learning to hover. I have setup a lot of helicopters and for those just starting out I always setup 0 degrees blade pitch for bottom stick position, 5 degrees for the middle stick position, and 9 degrees for the top.

There are new radios being produced every year, and old radios are being retired from production to make room, so this document cannot recommend a specific make or model. However, it can offer a few ideas that will hopefully make your decision easier. Most radios on the market at the time of this writing fall into one of three categories, as follows. The prices are of course approximate.

If you're having control problems (and it's not just lack of practice ), a simple check called a "range test" is in order. And if you're not having radio trouble, it is still a good idea to do a range test before each day's flying session. The life you save may be your own. Turn on the transmitter and receiver, collapse the transmitter antenna to the shortest length possible, and walk away from the helicopter.

Yes and no. Currently, Airs does not offer full transcription support; for instance, you cannot play the movie and see a subtitle-like transcription on top of it. If you are interested in such a feature, please contact us. The more feedback we get, the higher the chances a future release will provide this functionality. On the other hand, you can, of course, add a text attribute to your utterance questionary and use it to hold the text spoken during an utterance.
