We help by collecting and disposing of the waste generated in the community in a safe and proper manner. Remember, on average, a Texas resident generates more than 7.3 pounds of trash every day. With a population of more than 290,000, Williamson County residents and businesses generate, on average, more than 1,000 tons of waste every day. By safely managing waste, we improve the quality of life in the neighborhoods we serve.

Graceworks feels it is important to take care of our own home before we can take care of others. As long as there are people with needs in Williamson County we will continue to limit the scope of our help to our own back yard.

The vast majority of the waste received at the Williamson County Landfill is generated from Williamson County. Individuals can bring debris to the Williamson County Landfill during business hours. The landfill is open for public disposal from Monday through Friday, from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. and on Saturday from 7 a.m. to noon. The landfill is closed on Sundays.

The Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ) is the primary regulatory agency. TCEQ reviews and issues operating permits for waste disposal and oversees all of the daily operations. Periodically, TCEQ inspectors arrive unannounced at the Williamson County Landfill. Upon the inspector's arrival, the landfill is required to provide any environmental information requested.

The landfill footprint, with the expansion, will consist of approximately 425 acres, but at any one time, only 10-15 acres will be "active" areas receiving trash. As landfill units are filled to capacity, they are capped and closed and then seeded with grass. The Williamson County Landfill will be of similar size to many landfills, but certainly will not be the largest.

Protecting groundwater is a very important part of our business. It is included in all phases of development, from the initial planning, through the permitting process, during operations and even after closure. To protect groundwater at the landfill, we use a composite liner system that consists of several layers of synthetic materials and natural soils. We maintain a series of groundwater monitoring wells around the perimeter of the landfill.

There are two primary components of AB939. First, the law required jurisdictions to recycle at increasing levels with a goal of 50 percent diversion by the Year 2000. The second is that long- and short-term disposal capacity be secured to ensure that non-recycled material has a place in which to be disposed. to the first requirement, Sunshine Canyon Landfill offers the recycling of materials such as bottles, cans and cardboard, as well as green waste and wood.

Good point. That was our first thought, too. The County Attorneys Office can elect to enforce restrictions. It is our understanding that they are considering a best plan of action for the County. Again, it will be through the voices of the voters and property owners that action might be taken.

Sunshine Canyon City/County Landfill will provide 25 years of disposal capacity at an average rate of 11,000 tons per day, thereby ensuring that the cities within Los Angeles County will have a place to dispose of their non recyclable waste.

According to the Behavioral Risk Factor Surveillance Survey for Kittitas County, nearly 52% of Kittitas County youth ages 18-24 reported binge drinking in 2001. In 2002, nearly 18% of 12th graders reported having been drunk at high school during the past year. From 1990 to 1999, there was a 33% increase in the number of alcohol-related hospitalizations in the county. In 2003, 29.

Approximately 60 percent of all municipal solid waste (MSW) generated in the United States is currently being disposed of in roughly 1,800 operational MSW landfills, as referenced in EPA’s Inventory of U.S. Greenhouse Gas Emissions and Sinks: 1990-2004. Landfills are the largest single human source of methane emissions in the United States, accounting for 25 percent of all methane sources.

There is groundwater beneath the Landfill; however, it is not utilized for municipal water wells or other purposes. Any groundwater impacted by the Landfill is monitored and treated under the provisions of a consent decree between EPA and various companies that disposed of waste at the site, and with EPA's direction and ongoing oversight.

Our main campus is located at 275 Swamp Road in Newtown in the heart of scenic Bucks County, Pennsylvania. Our upper county campus is located at 1 Hillendale Drive in Perkasie, Pennsylvania.

The Town belongs to a regional landfill commission, and all garbage is hauled to a landfill site in Red Deer. The commission has located a transfer station in Innisfail for garbage which would not normally be picked up by town crews.

The Foundation expects to build its asset base to $20 million over the next few years. This asset base will serve as the endowment that will be used to make grants for improvements in the county.

It is our aim to build a local source of charitable capital that will become a steady, long-term resource for our communities. Awakening Ministries is a non-profit organization and the proceeds from the festival go to different christian based charities. Last year we supported WPER and WGTS. of December 1, 2004, the existing County Landfill, excluding the 42-acre “bridge” area, has approximately two (2) years of life at 6,000 tons per day. of December 1, 2004, if the “bridge” area is included, the existing County Landfill has approximately 7.2 years of life at 6,000 tons per day. Yes. Such a restriction was included in the 1993 CUP (Condition 10d), but the County deleted it in 1996 in a settlement with the City.
