DeviceWall works with the most common enterprise IT operating systems – Windows NT4, 2000, XP and 2003. DeviceWall does not currently support earlier versions of Windows or non-Windows operating environments. DeviceWall supports both Active Directory and NT Domains.

DeviceWall can actively manage a wide range of devices such as PDAs, iPods and other music players, USB sticks and external storage devices (including CD writers, Zip drives and external hard drives). DeviceWall also manages internal diskette and optical (CD and DVD) drives as well as built-in wireless connectors such as Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and Infra-red ports.

In general, any modern Unix-compatible platform should be able to run PostgreSQL. The platforms that had received explicit testing at the time of release are listed in the installation instructions. PostgreSQL also runs natively on Microsoft Windows NT-based operating systems like Win2000, WinXP, and Win2003. A prepackaged installer is available at http://pgfoundry.org/projects/pginstaller. MSDOS-based versions of Windows (Win95, Win98, WinMe) can run PostgreSQL using Cygwin.

Spheritec Backup includes client and server software. The client software can be installed on any Windows 98SE, Me, NT, 2000, 2003 (.NET) or XP computer. The Spheritec Backup Client software communicates to the Spheritec Server using the TCP/IP protocol. The Spheritec Server software must be installed on a Windows 2000 or Windows 2003 (.NET) Server, and it must be accessible by the Spheritec Clients.

CG4 supports Windows platforms including: Windows XP/2000 on the workstation side and the Palm OS , Windows Pocket PC platforms, and Blackberry on the handheld side.

Most of Jove is written in the Java 5.0 language, and should therefore work on any platform with a Java 5.0 JDK. Specifically, Java-only behavioral simulations should work on any Java platform. However, the Verilog simulator support is written in C++ and therefore tends to need tweaking to work on new platforms. The table below lists platforms that Jove has been tested on so far.

The primary target platforms for WebAuth development are Solaris and Linux, but the code should be portable to any Unix system. The modules make extensive use of Apache 2.0's APR libraries for portability. It has been successfully built on Mac OS X 10.2 (with a locally built OpenSSL, since the version that comes with 10.2 was still too old to support WebAuth). WebAuth also builds on AIX 5.2, including the LDAP module once Cyrus SASL has been ported to that system.

Currently, DataXtend RE supports Windows 2000, Windows XP, Windows Server 2003, RedHat Linux, SuSe Linux and IBM AIX. For optimum performance, it is best for the Replication Engine and the database engine to reside on the same computer. Alternatively, you can run the DataXtend RE (Replication Engine) on a separate computer from your database server. Many customers choose this implementation to harness the performance advantages of C at rule execution time. HaleyRules Web Services is currently available for Java implementations.

Current implementations with graphics support are available for Unix (including Linux) and Windows. The Unix implementation also runs on Darwin, the Macintosh development environment, or the Cygwin environment under Windows. Older versions of Icon are available for some other systems. An alternative Java-based implementation for Unix, Jcon, is also available.

Through a small client agent installed on the target PC, DeviceWall blocks or allows the connection of specific device types according the (currently logged-in) user’s privileges.
