HOWEVER, the following ARE the exception to the above statement: The first 1 (one) pap smear of the calendar year (includes the physician's exam and lab charges; the deductible and co-insurance do NOT apply). This first exam qualifies as the preventative visit. Any future exams during the calendar year and coded as preventative will be denied.
