Short for Post Office Protocol, POP3 is an email protocol used to retrieve e-mail from a mail server. Most e-mail applications, including Outlook Express use the POP protocol. You can find detailed instructions on setting up Outlook and Outlook Express for both PC and Apple Mac. When you download e-mail from your server using POP3, typically messages are written into a single database mailbox file or a file for each mail folder. Mail messages themselves are not written to individual files. The POP3 scanning feature of the OfficeScan client allows you to scan the actual text content of your POP3 messages as they are read and/or retrieved from the server.

Update Outlook Express(OE) to the latest version from Windowsupdate.com. Use anti-virus software such as Norton Anti-virus to scan email. Personally, I never use the email scanning that NAV provides, because I use the latest OE and the following measures: Disable the Preview Pane when downloading messages from your ISP. The Internet Connection Wizard makes short work of setting up your email box by walking you through each step for every e-mail account you set up. You should be back in the main "Internet Accounts" window. To send mail using the new account, you will need to make it the default account. To do this, just highlight the yourdomain.com account by clicking on it once, then click "Set as Default" and Close. Please note: "yourdomain" is your actual domain. "Username" is your POP account username, "yourpassword" is the password for your POP account.

Yes. SpamAlert will work on any email client as long as the email account is protected by SpamAlert. However, if you use a mail client like Outlook Express or IncrediMail, you will have to log into WebMail to administer your account.
