The Computing Center is managed by the College of Arts & Sciences for the instructional use and general computing needs of faculty, staff and students of the College of Arts & Sciences, as well as those students taking classes in the College.

Ubiquitous (pervasive) computing is the use of technological devices, either mobile or embedded, in almost any type of everyday object which people regularly use including cars, tools, appliances, clothing and various consumer goods. Utility computing is about providing flexible computing resources when and where they are needed. Utility computing is often referred to as ‘software-as-a-service’, ‘pay-as-you-go’, or ‘service on-demand’. With Utility computing you sign an agreement to have your technology services (such as database software) delivered on a per-user subscription basis.

STWing Computing is a group of servers, currently located in G-22 of King's Court that serve various functions including: e-mail, development, research, databases, web-mail, listservs, and intra-STWing communications.
