GSCC Libraries FAQReference materials include dictionaries, encyclopedias, almanacs, periodical indexes, atlases, and college catalogs or schedules. Many specialized reference works and bibliographies are also considered to be for reference use. They are not usually items that you would want to read from cover to cover. These materials allow you to locate required information fairly quickly, read and take notes, or make photocopies for later use.

We have IBM-compatible computers which run MS Word and the full MS Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Access, Internet Explorer). You may also print out your papers at the Center using your I-card for 4 cents per page. We also have a small library of reference books, including current editions of the MLA Handbook, APA Manual, dictionaries, grammar books, and thesaurus.

faqsThe WC's response will not be instantaneous. The tutors will usually respond within 1-4 days, but if they are extremely overwhelmed with postings, you may have to wait longer. As long as you send your assignment to them by the due date listed in your syllabus, you will get credit for the assignment. Please note that the COW deletes all messages on a bi-monthly basis, so you must check the site frequently for a tutor's response to your message.
