You are responsible for your entire submitted repertoire during the auditions and the semi-finals. Usually during the semi-finals, the judges will ask for pieces from your submitted repertoire that they did not hear in the auditions. In the Finals you may design a program using pieces from your submitted repertoire or any other piece(s) you have by memory. That is, the Finals offer an opportunity for you to showcase your musicianship in the way you think best.

To decide our Channel Winners and Grand Prize Winner, we have four stages of judging. We feel this is the best way to award our prizes, because it's completely uncheatable and gives every artist a completely equal shot. For a breakdown of how the different stages work, read this.

Most ensembles hold auditions during orientation in August. Choral Arts auditions are held on Thursday throughout the day. Results are posted Thursday evening so that students accepted to the University Choir can plan to attend choir camp beginning on Friday.
