When you don't know exactly which book you need, you will have to search by either subject heading or keyword. Subject headings are a controlled vocabulary, much like the Yellow Pages in the phonebook. You do a very lengthy art-fact sheet, spending lots of time describing your hero and heroine, the color of their eyes, hair, their height, type of clothes they wear, specific scenes in the book, any contributing factors like pets or weather or a holiday. It will take as long as necessary to get it right because your book cover is your work’s most valuable marketing tool. Many times your cover designer is not afforded the opportunity to read your work and knows nothing about its content. Getting a concept for the cover from you is very important and highly detailed, busy book covers do not market well. Simple and straight-forward is always better. The entire process may require six to eight weeks, or more.

Yes. Starting in March of 1984, WaRP Graphics began an adaptation of the first book, Another Fine Myth, in a comic book series. The series name was Myth Adventures and lasted 12 issues, with a brief appearance in an Annual as well. Phil Foglio illustrated the first 8 issues, which make up a fairly liberal adaptation of the plot of Another Fine Myth.
