In 1997, TLG's National Rehabilitation Research and Training Center on Families of Adults with Disabilities conducted a national survey of parents with disabilities. Because the PRISM is specifically focused on co-morbidity, it is organized differently from other diagnostic interviews. The alcohol and drug sections of the PRISM appear near the beginning of the interview, before the mental disorder sections.
