Batik is used in Cocoon for server side rasterization of SVG images. In addition, the Batik is used in the FOP project to convert SVG images to PDF format.

Batik can be used with FOP to transcode an SVG image into a PDF document. The mime type for PDF is "application/pdf".

The Batik Project is an open volunteer project in the spirit of the Apache Software Foundation (ASF). This means that there are many ways to contribute to the project, either with direct participation (coding, documenting, answering questions, proposing ideas, reporting bugs, suggesting bug-fixes, etc.) or by resource donation (publicity, hardware, software, conference presentations, speeches, etc.).

The enrichment plant in Paducah, Kentucky, uses the gaseous diffusion method for enriching uranium. This plant was built in the early 1950s and was originally operated by DOE and its predecessor agency, the Atomic Energy Commission. In the 1990s, Congress transitioned the plant from DOE control to a Federal corporation, the U.S. Enrichment Corporation (USEC). In 1998, USEC was privatized. USEC is a competitor of LES in the worldwide uranium enrichment market.

Batik is a Java(tm) technology based toolkit for applications or applets that want to use images in the Scalable Vector Graphics (SVG) format for various purposes, such as viewing, generation or manipulation. It is the ambition of this project to give developers a set of core modules which can be used together or individually to support specific SVG solutions. Examples of modules are an SVG parser, an SVG generator and an SVG DOM implementations.

Formally, RL is unrelated to behaviorism, or at least to the aspects of behaviorism that are widely viewed as undesireable. Apache has been shown to be substantially faster, more stable, and more feature-full than many other web servers. Although certain commercial servers have claimed to surpass Apache's speed (it has not been demonstrated that any of these "benchmarks" are a good way of measuring WWW server speed at any rate), we feel that it is better to have a mostly-fast free server than an extremely-fast server that costs thousands of dollars.

Apache does not automatically send a cookie on every response, unless you have re-compiled it with the mod_usertrack module, and specifically enabled it with the CookieTracking directive. This module has been in Apache since version 1.2. This module may help track users, and uses cookies to do this.
