The reviewers are looking for convincing evidence that the applicant is an exceptionally creative new investigator who is proposing an innovative approach with the potential to produce results that will have an unusually high impact on a significant problem in type 1 diabetes research. They will also assess the appropriateness of this application for the Type 1 Diabetes Pathfinder Award process rather than the standard peer review process. For more detail, see RFA Section V.2.

The main criterion is that the project has a clearly stated 'deliverable'. By that we mean that the students can not just work on a larger research project in the lab and make 'progress' towards someone's work. We have no intention of rejecting any projects but it may happen that we request more information and ask students to better define their project. The students will have a couple of weeks to supply that information.

Design and synthesize common, reusable, extensible data components that facilitate standard information exchange in Extensible Markup Language (XML). Technical review panels review applications against established evaluation criteria on the basis of 100 points, with up to five additional points for the inclusion of non-federal leveraged resources. Academic record, research experience, research publications, proof of English proficiency, etc. Distribution of students over different areas of research is also a consideration.

Academic apptitude and leadership potential are assessed through academic records from 7th and 8th grades, standardized test scores, entrance exam scores, personal interview and recommendation forms from 8th grade English and Math teachers.

Besides the required language score (IELTS 7.0 or TOEFL 600 or 6.5 with the language course), and a good degree from a recognised university, we also tend to look for a strong supporting statement explaining your reasons for applying.

Quality Public Services' issued in December 2001, Central Government set out its commitment to assess the actual performance levels of the local authority, via a Comprehensive Performance Assessment process (CPA). The CPA process measures local authority performance against its BVPI performance levels and targets, inspection and audit reports, corporate governance assessment and a self-assessment by the local authority.

The criteria are research-based guidelines of systemic school improvement that address accreditation’s central tenet: a school operates with a clear understanding of its purpose. The criteria were developed with the assistance of numerous practicing educational leaders and theorists. A4. Placement criteria are the organizational and operational elements required by a specific position that determine who from the pool will be considered for appointment to that position. The proposal should clearly contribute to the conservation of endangered or threatened species and their habitats. The proposal should build on previous work including an established commitment to a conservation program OR is well suited to become or contribute to a long-term conservation program. The project or program must be scientifically significant and sound, logistically feasible, and have a high probability of success.

The selection panel members will use the following selection criteria to assign scores. A total score will be computed based on assigned weights to each criteria.
