There may be a hardware issue. Audio output may be set very low, or muted, or speakers may be disconnected or headset plugged in, but not in use. File has been corrupted or removed. Check the Library to see if the title is there; it should be, because each Taster track is automatically added to the Library at completion of track download.

When audio is streamed, a small buffer space is created on the user's computer, and data starts downloading. As soon as the buffer is full (usually just a matter of seconds), the file starts to play. As the file plays, it uses up information in the buffer, but while it is playing, more data is being downloaded. As long as the data can be downloaded as fast as it is used up in playback, the file will play smoothly.

Java 1.1 and earlier releases use one audio format exclusively. The audio file must be in .au format, recorded at 8 KHz, mono, in mu-law encoding. If your audio clip is in a different format (e.g., .wav) or a different frequency it must be converted to the exact specifications above before Java can play it. No... and yes. It depends on the Dial Method used for the call. JPT can be used to dial a number at a specified time (for example, triggered by an iCal alarm at a specific time by a script). A script could also start a pre-recorded file (or even text-to-speech) to begin. However, using the modem, speaker, or Bluetooth modem as your Dial Method, the audio will not be transmitted. Most modems, including the modems that ship with iMacs, PowerBooks, iBooks, etc.

In most cases when you get the message FILE NOT FOUND, it is because the person who is sending you the file did not click on an audio portion to send.
