The Richmond Police Department no longer issues concealed weapons permits. By agreement, applicants are now referred to the Contra Costa County Sheriff's Office for concealed weapons permits (925-335-1500).

To be eligible to apply for a Washington State Concealed Pistol License (CPL) at the Renton Police Department, you must be at least 21 years of age,? a U.S. citizen, and reside within the city limits of Renton. Payment of fees are due when you turn in your application. The fees are non-refundable if your application is denied. A CPL (if issued) is valid for five (5) years from the date of issue. Dallas County Citizens may apply for a concealed weapon permit between the hours of 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM Monday thru Friday. In any case when the sheriff refuses to issue a certificate of qualification or to act on an application for such certificate, the denied applicant shall have the right to appeal the denial within thirty days of receiving written notice of the denial. North Dakota has reciprocity with some states. Reciprocity means a North Dakota concealed weapon permit is valid while in those states, and permits from those states are recognized as valid in North Dakota. According to RSMo 571.030, any individual, with or without a valid concealed carry endorsement, over the age of twenty-one may transport a concealable firearm that is otherwise lawfully possessed in the passenger compartment of a motor vehicle. Additionally, "any person who has been issued a concealed carry endorsement and such endorsement or driver's license has not been suspended, revoked, canceled, or denied may carry concealed firearms on or about his or her person or within a vehicle.

No. Washington courts have ruled that such language does not restore the right to possess firearms. A Certificate of Discharge must specifically state that firearm rights are restored.

California State Law through Penal Code sections 12050 through 12054 specifies the criteria for issuing a permit to carry a concealed firearm. The requirements are as follows: applicant must be a citizen of the United States and resident of the City of Lodi. Non-residents will be referred to the law enforcement agency having jurisdiction over their place of residence. An applicant may be asked to provide at least two documents providing proof of residency in the City of Lodi.

The firearm must be securely encased (i.e., in a snapped holster, a zippered carrying case, or similar encasement). It should be placed in the glove box for safety and security. You must be a West Virginia resident to obtain a West Virginia permit. Applications are processed by the Sheriff of your county of residence. As of July 22, 2004, federal law permits any qualified current or retired law enforcement officer to carry a concealed firearm in any of the 50 states. Officers must carry identification issued from the agency from which they are employed or retired while possessing the firearm.

No. It is not sufficient in and of itself. You must satisfy the training requirement. However, some states, such as Ohio and Utah, require completion of a course to satisfy their state's training requirement for obtaining a CHL. If you have a Training Certificate from such a course, taught by a State Certified or NRA Certified Firearms Instructor, you're good.

Initial request to carry a concealed weapon must be reviewed by the Chief of Police. Applicant will then need to complete a Police Dept. CCW application, a DOJ CCW application, be fingerprinted, obtain training with the weapon, have medical clearance, and pay applicable processing and fingerprint fees. First, one would see the Clerk of the Court and fill out a Concealed Weapons form. The next step is to be fingerprinted at the sheriff's office located behind the courthouse. Then go back to the Clerk of the Court with the completed application and a fee will be collected. The application must include some record of firearms training in some capacity. The sheriff then runs a criminal history on the applicant and if the sheriff approves, he sends his recommendation to the judge.
