Our CMS includes a file manager to make it easy for you to upload documents and images to your website. You can upload multiple files at once. You can also view the files that are in the document and image directories.

If you need multilingual functionality on your site, here is where you would add, edit, and delete languages. After you click on the language you wish to work with, you'll get a page that looks like the image below. The language meta data tab is where you would define the default meta values for your website including: meta title, meta keywords, and meta description. Here is where you also define the default headertag text.

The CMS is built on the concept of different 'sections'. A section is merely a part of the CMS that has a specific purpose. On the front end of the main sections that you'll see at work is the Category section and the Page section. The answer depends on your priorities. If you want to store your data in a RDBMS, use SimpleDbPersistenceManager and either LocalFileSystem or DbFileSystem. You can imbed JavaScript into the CMS by imbedding your JavaScript code into any content item using the "Code" view of EditLive!. Simply imbed your JavaScript code into wherever it's appropriate. Note: you won't be able to view the JavaScript code in EditLive! Instead, you will see a <SCRIPT> icon wherever the Javascript is located. To test the JavaScript code, view it in Preview.

The content management console is accessible via the internet through IE5.5+ and FireFox on a PC. You can use it from any PC connected to the internet.

Aff_Manager comes bundled with an Access 2000 database for ease of distribution. Aff_Manager will run great with this database; however, in a high-volume production environment, it is recommended that you use an enterprise database application like SQL Server. We prefer and recommends using SQL Server 2000, but any relational database such as MySQL or Oracle will work just fine with Aff_Manager. Not exactly, we call it pay-per-visit.

When you install Windows 2000, you may notice that File Manager (Winfile.exe) is not available. However, if you upgrade a computer that is running Microsoft Windows 95, Microsoft Windows 98, or Microsoft Windows NT, File Manager may be available and may still function normally. File Manager is not included with Windows 2000. If you upgrade a computer on which File Manager is available, it remains available.

Every single filename in the CMS must be unique, not just on your site, but on all Kelley sites. So, it's critical that you plan the filenames that you will be using before entering your site's content into the CMS. By convention, each filename will need to begin with your site's title, followed by an underscore. For example, all Technology Services CMS files start with the prefix, ts_ . UWM's CMS will be made available to campus in a controlled rollout. Those who wish to be early adopters are asked to complete the online survey no later than Feb. 9, 2007. After an analysis of the proposals, those selected to convert their existing sites will be notified no later than March 16. A complete campus rollout of UWM's CMS is expected during the summer of 2007.

RSS feeds are great for driving traffic to your site. Subscribers get a headline only, and they must link back to your site if they wish to get the whole version of the RSS feed. They also improve your Search Engine Optimization by increasing the number of active external links to your site. So RSS feeds tend to increase the number of visitors to your site.

The current answer is no. Why? Because the CMS module was designed as a module, an add-on. It takes advantage of the Phprojekt functions. Currently, it cannot be separated easily. Maybe in a later release this option will be offered, but for now the answer is no. But, if you are a developer, this is a hint: all database functions, user-related variables and the group information is from Phprojekt. If you can substitute them, you are done.
