The permitted use of the data and maps from Digimap are described in the Terms of Use for the service, and in the Frequently Asked Questions on the Sub-Licence Agreement. Each user must read the Terms of Use for Digimap when they register. These and the Frequently Asked Questions on the Sub-Licence Agreement can be viewed from any point within the service. Different members of staff will each need to register to obtain their own MapPilot passwords. Teachers and other school staff may allow other users (such as pupils in class) to use of the Ordnance Survey maps and data under their direct and personal supervision. It is important that individual password holders never divulge their password to any of their supervised users. All usage is tracked to individual passwords and Authorised Users remain responsible for data obtained via their passwords.

Yes. Clause 3.1.11 states that you may use the maps and data as part of a presentation at a seminar, conference, or workshop or other similar activity. The data used for most maps is available on the Atlas CD. However, it is in "dbf" format. If you have access to data base management software that recognizes the "dbf" format, you can use it to access the map data. The dbf data files are located in the folder structure: "climatls\aeprojs\dbfshape\project\". That folder structure is off the root directory of your CD.

Gridded data for most maps with the OCS (Oregon Climate Service) logo are available for purchase through The Climate Source. These are high-resolution, latitude/longitude grids with continuous values for each pixel. Grids are in ESRI ASCII GRID format, which is compatible with most major GIS packages.

Order forms are supplied to eligible organisations as part of the joining process – once they have registered their details via the Ordnance Survey website. They are then also available to download from the Members' area.

The scientific stations have antenna monuments that are effectively fixed to solid rock or stable structures and data recorded there are suitable for high accuracy long term monitoring applications such as ocean tide loading and vertical land movement research. Some formerly scientific stations, Barking and Camborne for example, are now operated by the OSGB.

Yes, you can load your own survey data by using the survey data import template. It's not technically difficult, but it does take some time to export data from the survey publishers' electronic version (usually a website or CD-ROM) and then copy that data into the NEXTCOMP.NET template. We've found that the contents of an entire survey (data and job summaries) can be loaded into NEXTCOMP.NET in one-half to two hours.

Each institution should have annual financial statements that are audited by an outside auditor. These financial statements are referred to as general purpose financial statements (GPFS). The finance survey is designed to follow the format of the financial statements suggested by the Financial Accounting Standards Board (FASB) and the Governmental Accounting Standards Board (GASB).
