You are free to leave the building after your program day ends, providing that you adhere to all rules and regulations. Certain residential programs have an 11:00 pm curfew. The Center is closed on the weekends, therefore students are required to leave by 7 pm on Fridays and may return on Sundays at 5 pm or after.

WTC serves citizens from across the state. You and your rehabilitation counselor will decide if you can best meet your career and personal needs by living at the WTC. Factors such as distance, transportation and family issues are considered when making decisons about residence at WTC.

During check-in we'll provide your family with a pager. During your procedure, your family is welcome to spend time in our cafe, reading room or leave the building. We'll page them with updates.

Yes, you are free to come and go when you are not in program but you must be in before curfew which is 11:00 PM Sunday through Thursday and 2:00 a.m. on weekends. You will not be allowed an overnight pass during the first 14 days after admission.

No. Each resident is issued with their own room key and outside door key. This means that you can come and go when you like.

The building setbacks vary with each district. In an A-1 Agricultural District, the setback for non-farm buildings is 60 feet from the road right-of-way. Farm buildings may be built closer to the road, but farmers are encouraged to stay back 60 feet for safety, snow drifting, and protection from future road development issues.

If you have a 9-Month Contract with University Plaza you are allowed to stay during all the breaks during the regular school year (there is an additional cost for a 9-Month Contract). If you need to stay for an extra day or need to stay only during one break, contact the Management Office at 815.758.0666 to make arrangements. In most cases, permission for an extension are granted. Extra fees may apply.

Yes, government officials will provide instructions on the radio and television. Listen to their advice and follow their instructions. If government officials advise evacuating the area, the officials will open shelters in locations that will be safe. Be careful not to confuse an evacuation shelter with a room in a home or building that is selected to seal up and use to “shelter-in-place.”

We usually have a couple of students in our groups that would like to extend their stay. This is definitely possible! As long as we know ahead of time, we can arrange the airfare around the dates of your stay. We can also help you set up extra classes and accomodations or a volunteer project while you are on your own. For those who need to leave early, we can easily accommodate your schedule.

Look at the first letter of the call number to find the stack level on which the book is shelved, or go to the proper department. A printed guide to the bookstacks is also available. You will need a picture ID to enter stacks. If a book is not on the shelf or you can't find it, a librarian can accompany you to the stacks to help you locate it. Be creative when you try to think how it might be misshelved.

The Little River Pet Resort provides everything your pet will need during their vacation with us. If you want, however, you can bring your pet's favorite bed (as long as it has a removable cover that can go in a washing machine) or a washable blanket (one or the other please!). The amount of days assigned to each treatment is calculated according to the medical consensus. The decision is not only taken on the criteria of being prudent and making the trip as safe as possible, but it is also based on practical facts: the sutures need a minimum amount of days before they can be removed.

The WTC Health Registry will enable researchers to identify possible patterns of illness in groups of people over time. Because the Registry will have information on a large number of people, in different groups, it will be possible to understand whether certain health effects are related to the disaster or not.
