To participate in commencement, you will need to complete a program of study with your advisor’s signature, a graduate degree check, and any necessary forms (i.e. memos of internal substitution, petitions, etc.). The Commencement Office will mail a postcard to the home address of students whose names appear on the official graduation list and also to those approved to participate by exceptionality. Western's Fall commencement is scheduled for December 15, 2007 at E.A. Diddle Arena while the next Spring Commencement is scheduled for May 9-10, 2008.

You can request a replacement testamur (graduation certificate) if your original testamur has been lost, damaged or stolen, or if you have changed your name. To obtain a replacement testamur, you must complete and submit an application for a replacement testamur form (PDF 79.2KB). Applicants are advised to carefully read the information on the first page of the application form. Please note that it takes approximately three weeks to process the request and post out the replacement testamur.

For those students transferring in 60-80 hours who know what their degree program is, a graduation evaluation can be obtained after you have complete one semester at Western. For students with 80-plus transfer hours, a graduation evaluation can be obtained during your first semester at Western if you know what your degree program is. The graduation evaluation will provide you with a list of the courses you still need to complete to earn the BA degree.
