Well I use various programs my main program is PS CS2 and ImageReady. The other programs I cant tell you because then everybody would try and copy me even more than they already do.

The main graphics program I use is Ulead PhotoImpact 5 by Ulead Systems. You can download a 30 day trial version of this program at thier site. For the 3D Art I use Bryce 4 and Poser 4 both by MetaCreations.

All graphics are developed using Adobe Photoshop and ImageReady for pixel-based art and Adobe Illustrator for vector art. PHP, [X]HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and coding are all done in Macromedia Dreamweaver, BBEdit, or in a plain text editor. In most instances I use Macromedia Dreamweaver to create layouts (which I touch up by hand) and to manage my site.

The most popular graphics subroutine library is PGPLOT. PGPLOT is a high-level graphics package for plotting x,y plots, functions, histograms, bar charts, contour maps, and grey-scale images. About 90% of the images are created with Micrografx Picture Publisher 7 and 8. The rest is made with Alchemy Mindworks' GIF Construction Set 32 and a few with Paint Shop Pro. Oh, and the raytraced 3D-thingies are made with Micrografx Simply 3D 2 and 3. Nope... Both Picture Publisher, Simply 3D and GIF Construction Set 32 are commercial programs. You'll have to buy them, if you want to use them (the prices are very fair).

A6. I mostly use PhotoShop 5.5, along with Eye Candy, which is a plug-in for most art programs, but I usually use it along with PhotoShop. On occasion, I'll use Paint Shop Pro, or sometimes Gimp. To make icons, I use AXIcons, and to animate animated GIFs, I use Microsoft GIF Animator.

ANSWER: There is no one answer to this question, but in general you need graphics that are for "commercial use". That means the creator of the graphics gives you permission to use them on items that you sell. Most programs such as PrintMaster, PrintArtist, etc???do not allow you to use their graphics commercially, but in order to be sure read the license that comes with the program of your choice.

My current scanner is a HP Scanjet 7400C. Previously I used a Microtek Scanmaker 5 flatbed. Also, Many of the scans at my site were scanned on a Hewlett-Packard ScanJet 4C flatbed. Many of the older graphics, however, were scanned on my first scanner- a Mustek Paragon something or another. I am slowly trying to weed out the old, dark scans with new ones, but it takes time. This is a very large site and I am only one person. I use Paint Shop Pro to manipulate the graphics found here.

Scripts (Akiko) I typically write them in Word, and Li and I discuss the scripts and revise them over AIM. Lineart (li) i use a 11x14 drawing pad, a couple different shades of light color pencil (mechanical), drawing pencil (2h) and mechanical pencil. Inking (Akiko) I initially trace the drawings I get from Li onto 11x14 Bristol board paper. I have used both Vellum and Smooth, and haven't figured out yet which I like better, so will likely keep switching back and forth.

The basic tools we use in the shop are milling machines, lathes, drill presses, grinders, saws, cut-off wheels, sanders, welders, lots of clamps, hammers, you name it. The GTA Studios tools, Racer_S's CamHack and FRAPS are the most important parts. The episodes are edited together with Sony Veags and the voice work and music are recorded with Cakewalk's SONAR.

The Help menu lists some freeware and shareware HTML editors and tools. SCN also makes some of these available for local downloading. I don't yet have any machine tools. I mainly use my dremel, sometimes a power drill, and jig saw. The rest are hand tools. I am planning on learning and using a Sherline CNC mill soon.

Prizm v1.0 Converts .GIFs, Amiga IFFs, Raw Files, and some other types to Greyscale (very fast), 16 colors, 256 colors, and 3200 colors! SuperConvert (now at version 4) loads all GS formats, plus GIFS and other non-GS specific formats and saves in all GS formats including Finder Icon files. It has more dithering options than most of the other programs, but you may have to play with it to find the best one. Platinum Paint is a commercial program that can import all GS formats plus MacPaint.

Yes, we have a graphics gallery with AVs anyone can use. Once you are sorted, head over to the profile page. In the left hand menu, click on the Forum Profile Information link. On the top of the page you will see "Personalized Picture" and a list to the side. Click on the options (Boys, Girls, House Crests) and you will see what images we have available for use as your AV. Do not, under any circumstances, take these images and personalize them.
