Answer: Due to Windows NT's lack (this also applies to Windows 2000 and Windows XP) of a native DOS mode, you may face many difficulties when trying to run a DOS game under any of these operating systems. This problem is solved in recent Cygwin/X releases. Use cygwin setup to upgrade the xorg-x11-xwin package. The older X11 releases on the various commercial unices define the AltGr key as ModeSwitch, MetaR, AltR or similar. Cygwin/X expects it to be ISO_Level3_Switch.
