Program view is the specific view mode. Program may be always on top, translucent, or small (at your option) with only the video window showing. Willing Webcam users can play or do computer work and see the webcam at the same time. Management Kit is a security and remote management tool.The security part consists of the login program and hiding of the program. Remote management include creating your own commands from small basic commands under the plus icon in the table.

You can add students to your WebCT course by clicking on Control Panel on the homepage of your course. On the next page, select Manage Course and then click on Manage Students . A view is a collection of data values from various sources, arranged for remote access. This function is performed by standard communication function blocks. A trend is a sequence of data values from the same source. The function of collecting trend data can be implemented as an algorithm of a basic function block, and remote access to the data so collected can be provided by standard communication function blocks. Any WebCT course that you are enrolled in as a student or designer, either through MSU's Registrar or Extended Studies, will appear in the course list on the left hand side of your "myWebCT" page. Your myWebCT page is the first screen you see after successfully logging in to WebCT.

image view is when a user clicks on an image to be seen. This number is tallied on a daily basis by unique users. For instance, if you have an image and it is clicked on ten times by the same users it will only be calculated as one image view for that day. Although, if the same user views that image another day it will total two image views.

You can add a student by means of the Student Data module that is accessible from your Home Page. Choose "View or maintain a student roster," select the group in which you want your student(s) added, click "View Roster," then click "Add Student." Detailed instructions are found in the Student Data Management section of your Users Guide under Add a New Student. This guide can be accessed by clicking on the Resources module on your program's Home Page.

For basic course access, all you require is a web browser that has Java and Javascript enabled, and accepts cookies. You can use a variety of software programs to create your course materials, ranging from Microsoft Word and PowerPoint to HTML editors. You can also include any content in your course that can be displayed using a Web browser (e.g. PDF files, audio and video clips, animations, and graphics).

Under "Enroll students" - "Add a student (with CUHK account)", type the CUHK Computing ID or Staff/Student ID of the TA/support staff in the text box. Note: Students added manually will be tagged "Managed by Teacher", if you would like to change the added student back to be "Managed by the System", select the student from the list and click on "Mark student(s) as Managed By System" and click "OK" to confirm.

There is no logout feature in WebCT. Once an instructor or student logs in, the only way to log out is to close the browser window. However, here's a good workaround for designers to maintain the student and designer view in the same browser window: To let WebCT distinguish between two persons add the login + password to the URL as follows (assuming PersonA/PasswordA is valid): http://PersonA:passwordA@webctaddress This will let you into your course immediately (without prompting for a login).

Once your course is created, your WebCT login information will be e-mailed to you and your student roster will be automatically uploaded to your course.

Enter the course as the designer to set up guest account access. You will want the guest account to be set as: Have the student click on "Course Listing" and chose the guest triangle next to the chosen new course. This will take the student to the web page: Guest Account Creation " which will ask " Have you already set up my WebCT? Have the student choose " Yes", where they will be prompted to enter their Global ID and password.

SEM stands for Scanning Electron Microscopy. SEM is used to show the detailed outer structure of very tiny objects, like phytoplankton. Whenever you see a question mark , you can click on it to read more about the topic, technique or data type that you are viewing.

They are the same system. The difference is how they are used. The term "back-up camera" implies that it would only be used for backing up the vehicle. A "rear-view" system is turned on all of the time while driving. The camera provides a much wider view than the vehicle rear-view mirror. Essentially, a "rear-view" system eliminates the need for a rear-view mirror.

You need to know the student's WebCT ID. After securing this information: Go to Manage Course. Under Manage Students, select "Add Students"/type the WebCT ID of the student into the text box in the "Import From Global Database" area and select "Add". The student will appear on the course roster. When you go to the course home page, click on Designer options, then scroll to the bottom of the page.

Picture Tools only works on galleries where a preview images links to an image or movie file. If the images link to html files or the images use javascript to link, Picture Tools will not work.

Only students registered in a course for which the instructor has chosen to use WebCT may access the course. Check with your instructor for confirmation.

Each time a Designer takes part in a course as a Student i.e. is in the 'Student' tab, this is tracked. This tracking does not affect the tracking of students.

You should contact your college office to apply for any withdrawal. Portion of refundable charges paid will be dependent upon the date of withdrawal as determined by your college office and the established refund period for the term determined by the Office of the Bursar.

Blackboard Vista is still the primary courseware used for conducting BCC online classes taught through the BCC Distance Education office. Teachers have the option to use either Vista or MyBCC Course Sites for communicating with their students. Students should ask their instructor each quarter how they intend to make class materials available to them.
