A – All visa applications for long term stays in Ireland, e.g. for work or study purposes, will be valid for one trip only. Once you have registered with the GNIB you may apply for a multi- journey re-entry visa. (See Q31) It is not our general practice to issue multiple-entry visas for short-term visits unless you have shown a compliant travel history to Ireland in the recent past. The validity of a multiple entry visa is determined by the visa officer who examines the application. The validity of the visa cannot exceed the validity of the passport. A single entry visa will allow you to re-enter Canada several times after travel to the United States or to Saint-Pierre-et-Miquelon, as long as it is within the period authorized by the immigration officer when you first enter Canada or the period authorized by an extension of your status.

You may travel to the United States on a valid visa in an expired passport as long as all the biographic information on your visa (name, date of birth, nationality, etc.) matches the same information on your new passport. Ensure that the visa has not been hole-punched or damaged in any other way.

There are certain countries which require an entry visa for Ireland. Full details of countries whose citizens do not require an entry visa is available from the Department of Foreign Affairs. Once you have applied and been offered a course of study in NUI Galway you should apply for this entry visa. Visa applications should be made to the Irish Embassy or Consulate in the Country in which you reside.

You can travel on this visa till the expiry. Upon expiry you must apply for a new visa with finger prints

If your visa has not expired, been cancelled or damaged, simply carry your old and new passports together when you to to the United States. If you prefer to have a visa placed in your new passport, you will need to apply for a new U.S. visa. Remember, there are no guarantees that a visa will be issued.

If you can keep your old passport with you, you do not need a new visa. Take the old passport with the valid visa and new passport together as your international ID.

No, you cannot travel on a Schengen visa to TOM / DOM. You must have the TOM / DOM name mentioned in your visa. Please apply for a separate visa. You are strongly recommended to keep photocopies of your passport's data pages and of the Schengen visa. A visa is a valuable document. Inform The Embassy / The Consulate from where your visa was issued immediately if you have lost your passport. You must apply for a new visa by submitting all documents and payment of visa fees.

The consul may issue an immigrant visa with a maximum validity of six months. If an applicant must delay travel to the U.S. beyond six months, he/she should contact the U.S. consulate and arrange to have the interview scheduled closer to his/her possible departure. A - Your contractor's license may be still valid, but if the contractor did not submit his/her renewal information to the Licensing Division in a timely manner, then it will automatically display as expired in the system.
