The preferred format for files is PDF. This is a universal file format and allows all the information from the original document to be 'locked in'. We can normally get a correct print out from a PDF. Files from original applications, (Word, PageMaker etc) can create problems as fonts vary on different systems and images can fail to print due to lost links.

The best way to get your large files to Printing Services (if you don't have a zip disk/CD) is through our FTP server. Unlike e-mail, there is no file size limit, and it allows the person who is working on your job to easily locate and begin working on your publication. WinCity Massage SOAP Notes 2004 uses a database to store your SOAP notes. Each time a piece of information in the database is modified, the old copy remains in the database and the new copy is added. This makes the database grow extra large over time and slows down WinCity Massage SOAP Notes. To delete the old information and shrink the size of a file, open the file with WinCity Massage SOAP Notes 2004 and select the Compact SOAP Book menu item in the File menu.

DebtX supports file transfers via the SSH (Secure) File Transfer Protocol (SFTP) standard. SFTP is ideal when a large number of documents need to be transferred securely. SFTP is also an important part of the DXOpen Secure Document Upload process. Note that use of the SFTP protocol requires that corporate firewalls allow outbound access to the SSH port (Port 22), as well as installation of SFTP client software.

This was much more of a problem in earlier releases but as of J2SE 5.0 most applications should not see a problem. Some of it is platform specific and in general things are better on Windows than Solaris and Linux. Printing using non opaque colours, gradient paints, and custom paints can cause individual pages (not the whole print job) to be generated as a raster at device resolution.

PostScript versions of books and papers available here are ready to be printed on a PostScript printer without any additional formatting. Some users have experienced problems, particularly with older PostScript versions of the WFDB Applications Guide (which consists of several PostScript documents concatenated together into one file).

Digital printing is the process in which printed output is generated on demand by an output device. Large format printing generally refers to output larger than tabloid sizes, or about 11x17. At SOS-Station, large format usual means 22x28 inches to billboard sizes.

Make sure the directory you are trying to protect with AuthentiX is not protected by NTFS. Use Windows NT (2000) Explorer (not IE) to go to the directory/folder you are trying to protect with AuthentiX. Right click on it to bring up the Properties/Security/Permissions. Grant Read and Execute rights for everyone.

If you can only upload small files to your My Docs Online account, but larger files fail particularly if the problem only shows up at work, it may be because there is a filtering product in action at your location. Try setting your account to use the SSL option to encrypt your file uploads. To do so log in, click "My Account", scroll to the "Session Encryption" section, click the "Use SSL" radio button, and click "Update".

If you are producing a digi-book thick or thin mount album and are a mydesigner Template Manager user you can submit your designs for production. Album prep is a breeze in comparison to books. You simply save a copy of your original design in RGB color space and use a .JPG extension. You will submit full double spreads and can expect 1/8 to be trimmed along the perimeter of each design.

Careful preparation of PDF files is important for a press job. Firstly, the PDF file must be high resolution. If you're creating a PDF file from an Adobe application such as inDesign, choose the for Press option or better when creating a PDF. From other applications such as Quark, Do not downsample below 300 dpi (in general) and don't compress. Make sure that you preserve the color settings; If you're creating a four-color project, your PDF file should be CMYK.
