There are elements of the educational model implemented at Master's Academy & College that are already being applied in progressive schools around the world. Master's is looking at systemic changes that will facilitate better learning. An increasing number of schools globally are being acclaimed for innovative restructuring of curriculum as well as high levels of technology implementation.

The College Academy is an accelerated college entrance program for high school students on the central campus of Broward Community College. All college and high school courses are taught on the college campus.

Students are expected to work a minimum of 10 hours a day. The South Rim Helibase hours are 0730 to 1800 during this time. While on wildland fire or other projects, our days can extend to 16 hours a day. We expect that students will work their days off and treat the Academy like a 14 day assignment.

MIT has a qualifying procedure for the doctoral degree, so, even though you have already earned a master of science degree at another institution, if you receive admission here, you would be admitted as a master of science degree student with the option to bypass the master's degree and go directly into the doctoral program provided that you successfully pass the qualification procedure. The rules for exercising the by-pass option are that the student must take subjects 3.20, 3.21, 3.22, and 3.

A majority of the departments require that an applicant obtain the master’s degree before applying for the doctoral program. In only a very few rare cases (reviewed on a case-by-case basis) is this possible.
