One of the most obvious differences of the Portfolio is that it has a smaller screen that the PC. The Portfolio's screen is 8 lines by 40 characters. We are aware of problems with the EPoX 8KTA3/8KTA3+ mainboard (and the identical ENMIC 8TTX/8TTX+). We recommend not to use this mainboard. The ArcView Database Access extension was developed as the ArcView GIS client interface to ArcSDE 3.x. Until ArcSDE for Coverages, ArcSDE 3.x served data stored in an RDBMS.
