The one bar or "pub" at the Old Key West Resort is The Gurgling Suitcase, located along the pier on Turtle Krawl, next to Good’s Food to Go. You are the boss, it is your party, and you are customizing it based on your taste and needs. You will sit down and meet your DJ two weeks prior to your affair. We will discuss your likes and dislikes. You can give us a list of songs you would like to hear the day of the party. We will use this list and our professional experience and judgment to put your party into a unique class of its own.

You can select all the music for the DJ to play if you wish. However, your DJ is VERY experienced and knowledgeable in many different areas of music. He has learned what people generally like to dance to and which songs they will enjoy. His expertise in this area can be very helpful. But the ultimate choice is up to the client.

We recommend that you provide us with a "must play" list and a "play if possible" list.

Yes. I suggest you provide me with a request list of 10 "must play" songs and 10-15 "play if possible" songs. This will leave plenty of room for guest requests and DJ selections. I can read the crowd and I know what songs work and won't work by evaluating crowd response and the age demographic of your guests. It's not in your best interest to select every song. If you insist on programming the entire evening of music, I'm probably not the DJ for you.

You may be as involved as you'd like in the music selection for your Wedding Reception. Normally, clients will provide some type of music list, usually between 5 and 30 songs. On average during the dancing portion of a reception, we play anywhere between 40 and 60 songs. This is why depending on the length of your list, we ask that you have 15 to 20 must plays, then the DJ's will know which songs are most important.

Most presenters have records of the week and space to play new tracks they really want to champion. They also have their say on which tracks are added to the playlist, but as well as playing their favourites they are also expected to play tracks other presenters are supporting.
