Vodafone Mobile Connect will only search for 3G service. If no 3G signal is detected, no connection will be made. GPRS will be detected wherever it is available. If no GPRS signal is detected, Vodafone Mobile Connect software will try to connect to 3G. Vodafone Mobile Connect will only search for GPRS service.

From the Vodafone Mobile Connect screen, select Tools > Options > Programs > VPN > Other and browse for your VPN client program. Press OK and you will see a shortcut VPN icon on the Vodafone Mobile Connect software.

Each LED flashes when there is network traffic passing through the corresponding port. Remove the Vodafone Mobile Connect Card from the Router, and then look on the back of the card. You will see “Option Model GT 3G Quad” which is currently sold at M1 Shops.

You need to access the GUI of the WRT54G3G in order to verify if the card can really be detected or not. The detailed information can be found on the STATUS – 3G/GPRS Card Status. If the 3G datacard is working, you should be able to see the Model, revision and firmware of the 3G card. Alternatively, you can also use the PCMCIA slot of your notebook to check if the card is still functioning. Once the 3G card is inserted, the computer must be able to detect it.
