We recommend to remove any rust. If you are cutting rusty iron, the BG will do it more reliably and with less spitting, popping and missed cuts than conventional fuel-gas. Corrosion (rust) is a very difficult and serious problem in auto glass replacement. Surface corrosion on the pinchweld (with no loss of metal thickness) can be removed with an abrasive wheel or brush.
