I can if you want but I don't recommend it for active players. Some custom shops and small builders boast about tung oil finishes on their necks or even on the whole instrument. Not from me, you can't. I just don't believe in oil finishes, not on a bass anyway. I know lots of people do them and swear up and down about it, but you won't get me to do one. I've spent a lot of time and resources coming up with what I feel is the best finish I can offer. I use a polyester product for the fill coats and a satin catalyzed conversion varnish for the top coats. There is an extra charge if you want a specific color, burst or dye job.
