After your grant proposal is submitted, you will receive an acknowledgement letter. The Foundation staff may schedule a site visit or call for additional information. The Research Grant Committee consists of two subcommittees, which consider grant requests from colleges other than their own. Yes, we are sending production proposals to NSF using EDI. No other sponsors are receiving EDI transactions from us at the moment, though we are starting to test with ONR. designed with EDI in mind, so we didn't have much difficulty mapping. But we still had to do a fair amount of work mapping all the budget elements because our application was not storing the budget details in the same breakdown as NSF required. We also had to pick translation software.
