Palm OS only allows about 30 characters in a filename. I have to put something unique at the beginning of the filename, to make sure they don't get clobbered by some other program, and to make everyones life easier recognizing who built what. A category can be pretty long, too. So if I stucked the category name into the filename, to allow unique filenames in a category, you'd only have a very small filename allowed.
