The FidoRido provides a special pulling harness, which has two metal D-rings on either side for attaching the straps. The purpose of the two-strap, two-ring system, is to help equalize the force in case of a sudden stop. Our harnesses come with metal buckles because the plastic snap buckles are the first things to give in an accident.

Harness straps should be snug with no slack, but not so tight as to be uncomfortable. The top straps should be on the shoulders, and some prefer to say that you should not be able to "pinch an inch" or get more than a finger in between the shoulder and the strap. The lower straps in a 5-point harness should be fairly tight across the thighs (not on the tummy). A tight harness can prevent ejection, and also can increase the ride-down time to reduce the chance of crash injury.

A speed bar will increase top speed over a straight bar. Gloves should be worn during all flights to provide a safe grip on the rear wires during the landing flare.

The H-style is a really good cat harness that also can be used on small dogs. We especially recommend it for cats because it is harder to escape from. As long as the collar portion is snug enough not to pull over the cat's head, it is very unlikely the cat will get out of an H-harness. If you are considering a harness for a dog, and your main objective is to relieve pressure on the trachea, neck and spine, the Roman style is best.

Yes. The more the straps twist, the less area of strap is available to restrain the child in a crash. This means more pressure will be applied to the child, and could result in burns or more serious injury. It is a good idea to untwist the straps after each use. Some models have straps that do not twist.

You do need a harness for kite snowboarding if you are using a kite stronger with an area larger than 3.0 square meters. Most water harnesses are overbuilt and uncomfortable for use with bulky snow clothing. We have found that land harnesses (like the Slingshot or Ozone harnesses) offer many advantages over harnesses designed for water. You can also convert some back packs into harnesses. The advantages are they fit over your outerwear. In return they are more comfortable.

The harness attachment serves a number or purposes. It is designed to provide maximal support and safety. The harness allows for wheelchair sit-to-stand maneuvers so that the healthcare provider no longer needs to lift the patient, saving them from injury and cutting insurance costs. The harness also allows for complete control of the amount of weight bearing the user places on their lower extremities.

Harness sizing is based on the adjustability of the girth. If you don't have a dress makers tape, use a piece of string around the animal's ribcage, just behind the front legs. We say: neither. We don't recommend any Lupine product for tie-out. An animal tied to a fixed object can put tremendous force to the hardware (and it's own body), far more than when it is hand walked on a lead. With harnesses and leads, a pet can chew through the webbing in a matter of moments, and then be free to roam. A pet on a tie-out is also at increased risk of entanglement (hanging) or attack by at-large animals.

The mot-harness program is designed to take the place of a transmission chain by allowing the encoder/spooler to be connected directly to the decoder. Since the communication between the library programs and the underlying transport system (i.e. DAB) is based on TCP/IP, this is pretty straightforward.
