The library gratefully accepts donations of books and audio-visual materials. Donations are reviewed by library staff and are either added to the library's collection or offered for sale at the Library Book Sale, generally held in the spring. When committee reviews your research project it will provide you information on when those tapes have to be destroyed. Your Hastings I.D. card must be presented to check-out books and course reserve items. All cards need to be presented to the circulation desk prior to their first use so that the ID card's bar code can be scanned into the library system. Scanning of student ID's takes only a moment. Attorneys and librarians with an existing non-affiliated user borrowing card may borrow a limited number of titles from the First Floor Library.

CR students, faculty, and staff may request books held at other CR campus libraries, or within the libraries in the North State Cooperative Library System. Books held at libraries outside the NSCLS usually can not be provided. Delivery of items may take from one to three weeks. Inquire about this service, or pick up a request form, at the Circulation Desk. If you need the items for an assignment that has a short deadline, ask the Librarian to help you find more readily available resources.
