Special hardware and software is required to create a CD from an ISO image. You will need to have access to a CD-R or CD-RW drive. There is a variety of CD mastering software available. Some examples for the PC would be Easy CD Creator, WinOnCD, Nero, and Win ISO. Toast is a well-know CD mastering software title for the Macintosh. You will find special software and hardware in the Sacramento State BATS labs that will allow you to create CD's. Place a blank CD into the CD-RW drive.

If you burn DBAN to CD-R and see just one file when you open the CD-R afterwards, then you have burned DBAN incorrectly. DBAN may not boot if you modify the ISO file or filesystem layout in any way, like by injecting files.

Think of the ISO values as film speeds. Low ISOs such as 100 and 200 are better suited to situations in which there is a lot of light ? outdoors scenes. Higher ISOs, such as 400 and 800, would be used outdoors where there is plenty of light and fast shutter speeds are desired ? sports and air shows, for example ? or indoors for available light shooting. ISO 1600 would be used where there are very low light levels, such as indoors or at night.

Simply drag the ISO file to the recorder's CD View window and start recording. This procedure is the same as with WAV and other audio files.

Use the software that came with your burner. Specify that the burn will be an "audio CD". Drag the mp3(s) to your layout. That's it. Note that you will get a maximum of 74 or 80 minutes of audio on each CD-R; this boils down to two 30-minute shows or one 60-minute show. Use 74min CD-R media for maximum playability.
